The rain continued. It was a hard rain, a perpetual rain… it was a mizzle, a downpour, a fountain, a whipping at the eyes… it rained a solid glassy rain, and it never stopped…

Así empieza y termina la historia The Long Rain que Ray Bradbury incluye en su libro The Illustrated Man de 1952. Parece como si Ray se hubiera venido de vacaciones desde su nativa Waukegan, por allí por Chicago, a Benidorm o así. Luego sitúa la novela en Venus y lo del sol es un Sun Dome, pero la inspiración suena a package holiday total.
